ProVantage Software CEO Frank Orth explains, "With the new AP Invoice Imaging functionality, ProVantage users have a robust capability for storing invoice images in conjunction with the invoice record itself. The scanning is done within the AP screen in ProVantage, or separately in a scanning center and retrieved, or images can be pulled from the Internet. Optionally, invoice images can be flagged to appear with a client bill. Because the firm can store an unlimited number of pages per invoice, a complete audit trail of correspondence can be stored with a single invoice. Similarly, users entering cash receipts can store checks or other proof-of-payment documents with a single cash receipt, and there is no limit to the number of pages per image or the number of images per cash receipt. The same robust imaging functionality will be extended to other parts of ProVantage in upcoming releases."

Industry standard scanning equipment with automatic document feed, or access to images on the Internet is all that is required to utilize the ProVantage scanning capability. AP Invoice Imaging and AR Cash Receipts Imaging will be available with ProVantage 7.1, which is scheduled for release first quarter 2005.
